1. Overview

MTPAY ("we", "us", or "our") operates a decentralized peer-to-peer and merchant Unified Payments Interface (UPI) notification reconciliation system. We are committed to safeguarding the personal and financial privacy of our merchants, their customers, and visitors to our platform.

2. Zero Storage of Sensitive Banking Credentials

We strictly DO NOT store, access, or process:

  • UPI MPINs, ATM PINs, or banking passwords.
  • Credit card numbers, debit card CVV/CVC codes, or OTPs.
  • Internet banking login credentials or security answers.

All customer UPI transactions are executed directly within the user's authentic banking or UPI application via standard bank-to-bank rail.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimal data required to verify settlement and facilitate automated webhooks for authorized merchants:

  • Merchant Profile: Business name, email address, registered mobile number, and receiving VPA (UPI ID).
  • Transaction Evidence: Bank reference number (UTR/RRN), transaction timestamp, amount settled (INR), and merchant order reference.
  • Settlement Verification: If automated settlement verification is utilized by the merchant, it strictly verifies transaction credit confirmation while rejecting unrelated data.

4. Data Protection & Cryptographic Standards

All communications with MTPAY servers are secured via TLS 1.3 / 256-bit SSL encryption. Database records, API tokens, and webhook payloads utilize cryptographic HMAC-SHA256 signatures with timestamped replay protection.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose personal data to third-party advertisers or unauthorized external brokers. Data is transmitted strictly to the merchant whose order was fulfilled or when required by applicable law and law enforcement authorities.
